What it was, was The Turkey Hour! Every Monday night from 8 til 9, Bobby Rich (and sometimes his listeners) brought 45's from home in a grocery bag (it was a requirement) for The Turkey Hour — a collection of stiffs and hits that maybe shouldn't have been, punctuated with wild drop-ins and "did he say what I think he said - ON THE AIR?!" remarks from Bobby.
Bobby, of course, was PD and/or air talent at WAVZ, KHJ, KFMB-AM, B-100FM, KHTZ, 99X and more, as well as Billboard's only consecutive and multiple award winner for PD and Air Personality of the Year (1987, 1988 and 1989.) Bobby has been PD/Mornings at AC 94.9 MIX-FM, Tucson, since 1992.
